Every Tuesday after school we have basketball with Ms. O’Connor. At the beginning we learned lots of basic skills necessary such as dribbling, passing, pivoting, layups and many more. But now we are learning more advanced skills. This year we took part in the Super Sevens competition and enjoyed great success. This was the first time Scoil Chorp ChrÍost took part in a basketball competition and made history for our school.
Every week the students in Scoil Chorp Chríost take part in irish dancing class. Our dance teacher is is John Stack .We all look forward to the dance class every week. Some of the dances we learned include 'Shoe The Donkey', the hornpipe, the jive and many more. Some of the older children take part in dancing competitions such as 'Scor Na bPaistí'. We have a céilí every year to celebrate Seachtain Na
Every second week we have football training at school .This is organised by the Kerry County Board GAA. The younger children learn how to do the basic skills such as soloing and passing while the older children develop more advanced skills and take part in competitive games .Many go on to take part and watch club and county football when they get older.
