Hazel's trip to the BT Young Scientist Science Fair
On the 9th of January 2020 I went to the BT Young Scientist Science Fair. I saw a lot of impressive and interesting projects by secondary and primary schools .One of the most memorable projects was about a type of bug that can eat plastic. Plastic is very dangerous for humans and animals. 60% of this years projects were based on climate change. Another project was about how farmers have a higher chance of becoming deaf. The winners of the BT Young Scientist Science F
air were Cormac Harris and Alan O’Sullivan the title of there project was “A statistical investigation into the prevalence of gender stereotyping in 5-7 year olds and the development into an initiative to combat gender bias. I think this project deserved to win. I also listened to adults giving speeches about certain topics one of these was about lectures one of these were about space “junk” and how there was a lot of “junk” in space and how it could damage satellites. But over all I really enjoyed it and had a lot of fun.
